Last night I went to see The National at Brixton Academy. And I can honestly say that was one of the most amazing gigs I've ever been too. You really felt their sincerity when they thanked the crowd for helping them sell out three nights at the venue. They seemed truly humbled by the prospect that thousands of people could want to come and see them play. The set list went as follows:
Mistaken For Strangers
Anyone's Ghost
Slow Show
Squalor Victoria
Afraid of Everyone
Bloodbuzz Ohio
Lemonworld
Lit Up
All The Wine
Conversation 16
Sorrow
Apartment Story
Abel
Green Gloves
England
Fake Empire

Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks (unplugged)
It was a really special gig. I loved when they played Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks unplugged and got everyone to sing along, it felt like a really intimate gig despite there being a crowd there five thousand strong. As we came out of the gig it decided it would snow, which despite freezing me to my very core (stupidly I'd only worn a dress, cardi, tights and a leather jacket) got me in the Christmassy mood. Besides, I was still buzzing from the gig. So at 12 midnight until half two in the morning I assembled and decorated my Christmas tree. As you do when you have to get up at 9 in the morning for work the next day. Here's some videos for your viewing pleasure. Until next time, Kez xxx
